Gasoline and Diesel fuel UniMass input file
The four comma separated columns within the data should be formatted in the following
order and with the units indicated. The file must be created in a text editor as a .txt file (e.g.
using MicroSoft Word Pad).

① Temperature / Degree C or F
② Sound Velocity (Vs) / meters/second
③ Specific Gravity (relative to water @ 20°C (68°F)
④ Viscosity (kinematic) / Centistokes
The file must be in the form shown in the example above, with a START and END keyword
to denote the limits of the data. The data does not have to be sorted in any particular order.
A description of the data can be included at the top of the file since this will be ignored by the
10x10 grid generating program.
Once the input data is properly formatted it can then be processed using the PC based
UniMass grid generating program. Follow the instructions included with this program to
generate the final grid data, which can be directly uploaded to the flow meter using the
HyperTerminal [Send Text File] command.
Uploading the UniMass Table
To properly upload and direct the UniMass table to the appropriate flow meter channel,
follow the instructions below.
1. Open the sample file from the CD or create a new UniMass table.

2. Substitute your actual parameters for the parameters in the [UNimass ex table.txt] file
shown above. Add or remove as many rows as is necessary to reflect your actual
process.
