Parameter 7751 – to obtain current base software and restore current DCR state
• Parameter 7751 - Create Emergency Key
– This keypad function creates a le named "nxgemergency", the active base system le (as
shown on Debug Tool - Software/Firmware Versions), SOPhex les, and current
conguration le on USB ash dirve. It is a rst resort function as it captures the current
state of the DCR. This key is useful mostly for customer-facing personnel when a
lesystem has been corrupted, or another DCR needs to be duplicated including the
conguration parameters and SOP le.
– The nxgemergency key can be used on another DCR (or 10 other DCRs) for a total of 10
temes. The nexgemergency key an always be used on the DCR from which it was created.
The nxgproplus login password will be nxgproplus after runn this key recovery.
Note
This key function (Step 3) can only be run 1 time per DCR boot cycle. If it didn’t work, remove USB
from DCR, reboot DCR, and try again.
1. On a PC, remove all secure USB key les from USB ash disk OR rename them.
2. Insert FAT32-based USB ash disk into DCR.

3A (Versions below 8.1.0)
– The les should be created within 3-4 mintues. It is a manual process, where you must
keep checking the status about every 30 seconds to 1 minute until the process is
complete. DO NOT NAVIGATE AWAY FROM THE KEYPAD MENU PARAMETER. Keypad
messages, as checked once per minute are:
Generate nxgemergency key les via keypad parameter 7751.
Working… Please wait! (then wait 30 seconds to 1 minute)
– Processing (then wait 30 seconds to 1 minute)
– Transferring data (then wait 30 seconds to 1 minute; sometimes you will not see this
message)
– Operation complete
You can remove the USB ash disk, insert into PC to check le creation.
If trying to recover, then re-insert USB ash disk into DCR.
