Foranytypeofpulselogoutput(relay,opencollector,or
optocoupler),theoutputmustbefreefromotherconnections.
Thismeansthatonthespeedlogoutputtobeused,onlythe
sonarcanbeinterfaced.TheconnectiontotheInterfaceUnit
isshowninsectionPulsespeedloginterfaceonpage198.For
connectionofapulselogwithopencollectororoptocoupler
output,theconnectionmustbemadebetweenSpeedlog+
(TB8-2)andSpeedlog-(TB8-5).Ifthisisthecase,beaware
ofthepolarization.

information.Insuchcase,thisseriallinecanbeusedforboth
thepositionandspeeddata.Connecttheseriallinetoany
vacantport(TB1-7)intheInterfaceUnitasdescribedin
sectionRS-232totheInterfaceUnitonpage200.Inorderto
performthephysicalconnectiontotheGPSsystem,referto
