Beforeyoustartupthesonarequipmentona
recentlylaunchedvessel,makesurethatthedepth
underthekeelissufcientforthetransducerto
beloweredsafely.
Whenyoustartuptheequipmentonboarda
vesselindrydock,checkrstunderthevessel
andinsidethesonarroom.Personnel,toolsand
otherpotentialobstructionsmustbekeptclearof
thetransducerandrelatedloweringandhoisting
machinerytoavoidpersonalinjuryordamageto
theequipment.
