Thehullunitisnowreadyforfurthercabling(Ethernetcableto
thetransceiverunitforhoist/lowercontrol)andsystemtesting.
Thesystemtestisprovidedintherelevantsonarinstallation
manual.
Startingupthewheelhouseunits
IftheACmainsplugsontheProcessorandBeamformerUnits
havebeendisconnected,theinitialstartofthesonarmustbe
madebypressingthestartswitchS101oneachoftheseunits.
Eachswitchislocatedbehindthesmalllidonthefrontpanel
oftheunit.
Note
Inordertopreventinadvertentuseofthesonar ,theACmains
plugmustbedisconnectedwhenthevesselisindrydock.
Operatingthesonarwiththetransducerarrayinairmaycause
seriousdamagetothesystem.
Initialstart-upofthewheelhouseunits
Observethefollowingproceduretostartupthesonarfortherst
time.Thestart-upprocedurefordailyuseisdescribedinthe
operatorandreferencemanuals.

ConnecttheACmainsplugstotheProcessorand
BeamformingUnits,andensurethat230V acispresent.
2PressthePowerbuttononthedisplayunit.

ObservethatthetextSync...appearsonthedisplay
afterapproximately10seconds.

LocatethestartbuttonsS101behindthefrontdooron
thefrontpaneloftheProcessorandBeamformerUnits.
Presseachbuttonandcheckthattheyilluminate.
