3CheckthattheserviceswitchS1(B)onthePSUMainpower
supplyisinOFF(middle)position.
4Connectthemainspowercabletothemainsconnectoratthe
bottomoftheTransceiverUnit.
5Checkthatthelampsmarked5V,3,3Vand24V(C)onthe
PSUMainpowersupplyarelit.
6StartuptheTransceiverUnitbysettingtheserviceswitch
S1(B)toSERVICEposition.Checkthatthefanstartsup,
andthatthelampsmarked12Vand6V(C)onthePSUMain
powersupplyarelit.
7SwitchofftheTransceiverUnitbysettingtheserviceswitch
S1(B)toREMOTEposition.
8StartupthesonarinthewheelhousebypressingthePower
buttonontheOperatingPanelforapproximatelytwo
seconds.
9CheckthattheTransceiverUnitstartsupafterapproximately
twominutes.
10Switchoffthesonar,andcheckthattheTransceiverUnitis
switchedoffaswell.
Checkingthehoist/lowersystem
Thefollowingsetofproceduresrequirestwopersons:
•Onepersonmustbestationedonthebridgetooperatethe
sonar.
•Onepersonmuststayinthesonarroomtomakesurethe
hoist/lowersystemworksproperly.
Propercommunicationmustexistbetweenthetwolocations.
Note
Shouldanyproblemsariseduringtheoperation,thepersonin
thesonarroommustswitchthemotorprotectingswitchS301in
theMotorControlUnittoOFFposition.
Thefollowingtwoproceduresmustbeperformedsimultaneously
bythepersononthebridgeandthepersoninthesonarroom:
•Checkingthebridgefunctionsshallbeperformedonthe
bridge.
•Checkingthesonarroomfunctionsshallbeperformedinthe
sonarroom.
Tosimplifythetest,removetheapplicablepagesfromthis
manual.
