7Ifthecratehasbeenopened,makesurethatisitclosed
andsealedaftertheinspection.Usetheoriginalpacking
materialasfaraspossible.
8Thestorageroom/areamustbedry,withanon-condensing
atmosphere.Itmustbefreefromcorrosiveagents.
9Thestoragearea’smeantemperaturemustnotbelowerthan
-30°C,andnotwarmerthan+70°C.Ifotherlimitations
apply,thecrateswillbemarkedaccordingly.
10Thecratemustnotbeexposedtomoisturefromuid
leakages.
11Thecratemustnotbeexposedtodirectsunlightorexcessive
warmthfromheaters.
12Thecratemustnotbesubjectedtoexcessiveshockand
vibration.
13Iftheunitcontainsnormalbatteries,thesemayhavebeen
disconnected/isolatedbeforetheunitwaspacked.These
mustonlybereconnectedbeforetheinstallationstarts.Units
containingbatteriesaremarked.
Caution
Unitscontaininglithiumoralkalinebatteriesmust
behandledseparatelyandwithcare.Suchunitsare
markedaccordingly.Donotattempttorecharge
suchbatteries,openthemordisposeofthemby
incineration.Refertotheapplicableproductdata
sheets.
Inspection
Aninspectionmustbecarriedoutimmediatelyaftertheunit(s)
havearrivedattheirdestination.
1Checkallwoodenorcardboardboxes,plasticbagsand
palletsforphysicaldamage.Lookforsignsofdropping,
immersioninwaterorothermishandling.
2Ifdamageisdetectedexternally,youwillhavetoopenthe
packagingtocheckthecontents.Requestarepresentativeof
thecarriertobepresentwhilethecartonisopened,soany
transportationdamagecanbeidentied.
3Ifanyunitsaredamaged,prepareaninspectionreport
statingtheconditionoftheunitandactionstaken.Describe
thedamageandcollectphotographicevidenceifpossible.
SendtheinspectionreporttoSimradassoonaspossible.
