Storageafterunpacking
Theunitmustwheneverpossiblebestoredinitsoriginal
transportationcrateuntilreadyforinstallation.Thecratemust
notbeusedforanypurposeforwhichitwasnotintended(eg.
workplatformetc.).
Onceunpacked,theequipmentmustbekeptinadry,non
condensingatmosphere,freefromcorrosiveagentsandisolated
fromsourcesofvibration.
Note
Donotbreakthesealtoopenacircuitboardpackagebefore
theboardistobeused.Iftheboardpackageisreturnedtothe
manufacturerswiththesealbroken,thecontentswillbeassumed
tohavebeenusedandthecustomerwillbebilledaccordingly.
Theunitmustbeinstalledinitsintendedoperatingpositionas
soonaspossibleafterunpacking.Iftheunitcontainsnormal
batteries,thesemayhavebeendisconnected/isolatedbeforethe
unitwaspacked.Thesemustthenbereconnectedduringthe
installationprocedure.Unitscontainingbatteriesaremarked.
Note
Unitscontaininglithiumoralkalinebatteriesmustbehandled
separatelyandwithcare.Suchunitsaremarkedaccordingly.Do
notattempttorechargesuchbatteries,openthemordisposeof
thembyincineration.Refertotheapplicableproductdatasheets.
Storageafteruse
Ifaunitisremovedfromitsoperatinglocationandplacedinto
storage,itmustbeproperlycleanedandpreparedbeforepacking.
Cleaningcabinets
Ifacabinethasbeenexposedtosaltatmospherewhileitwasin
use,itmustbethoroughlycleanedbothinternallyandexternally
topreventcorrosion.
1Wipethecabinetexternallyusingadampclothandalittle
detergent.Donotuseexcessiveamountsofwaterasthe
unitmaynotbewatertight.Oncompletion,drytheunit
thoroughly.
2Allsurfacesmustbeinspectedforsignsofcorrosion,
aking/bubblingpaint,stainsetc.Damagedorsuspectareas
mustbecleaned,preparedandpreservedusingthecorrect
preservationmediumsfortheunit.Themediumstobeused
willusuallybedenedintheunits’maintenancemanual.
