7�4�5 Adjust mechanical position indicator
The mechanical position indicator indicates the valve position. The symbol stands for OPEN
and the
symbolforCLOSED(refertog.1,items1and2).
The mechanical position indicator is an option, and not included in all devices.
If the actuator was delivered mounted on a valve, the setting may already be performed by the
valve manufacturer. The setting must be checked during commissioning.
If the mechanical position indicator was not yet set with the end positions, set the indicator as fol-
lows.
Operation sequence
1. Operate the actuator into the end position
CLOSED.
2. Remove signaling gear cover.
3. Turnwhitediscwithredsymbol(g.2,
item1)untilthesymbolforCLOSED(g.1,
item 1) and the arrow (3) are aligned in the
indicator glass of the cover.
4. Operate actuator to position OPEN.
5. Holdwhitedisc(g.2,item1)inpositionand
turn transparent disc (2) until the green sym-
bolforOPEN(g.1,item2)andthearrow(3)
are aligned.
6. Fix signaling gear cover with screw while
heedingpropertoftheseal.
