Removing the Support Material
Afterprintedmodelshavecooled,theSupportmaterialmustberemoved.
Thiscanbedonebydifferentmethods,dependingonthesizeofthemodel,
howdelicateitis,theamountandlocationoftheSupportmaterial,andother
factors.Usethefollowingmethodsasaguide,andadaptthem(ora
combinationofthem)forfinishingthemodelsyouarehandling.
SUP705(FullCure705)canberemovedfromprintedmodelsusingthe
followingmethods,inthisorder:
1. byhand
2. waterpressure(inasuitablecleaningunit)
3. 1%causticsodasolution(recommendedforasmoothfinish)

Whilewearingprotectivegloves,breakawayexcessSupportmaterialonthe
outsideofthemodel.Fordelicatemodels,useatoothpick,pinorsmallbrush
afterdippingthemodelinwater.

Formostmodels,themostefficientwaytoremoveSupportmaterialisby
usingahigh-pressurewaterjet.ConsultStratasysCustomerSupportfor
adviceonpurchasingandusingsuitablecleaningunitsforyourprinterand
requirements.

systems.
