Objet1000Plusprintersproducemodelsbyjettingthinlayersofprinting
materialsonthebuildtray,untilthecompletemodelisformed.Twotypesof
materialareusedinthisprocess:
•Modelmaterial—whichmakesupthefinishedmodel
•Supportmaterial—whichfillsgapsandspacesinthemodelduring
printing,andisremovedafterprinting

Storage
MaterialsusedforprintingmodelswithObjet1000Plusprintersaremadeof
resins,whicharecomposedofreactivemonomersandoligomers.Although
printingmaterialsaresuppliedinsealed,UV-proofcontainers,caremustbe
takenwhenstoringandhandlingthem.Followtheseguidelinestoprotect
operatorsandtheenvironment,andtoensureoptimumresults.
•Toensureproductstability,donotallowthesematerialstocomeinto
contactwithmetal.Plasticsmadefrommonomer-solublesubstances(such
aspolystyreneorpolyvinylchloride)arenotsuitableforstoringPolyJet
printingmaterials.
•Whennotinuse,keepmaterialcontainerstightlysealedtoprevent
contamination,theeffectsofexposuretoUVradiation,andaccidental
spillage.
•Storematerialcontainersindoors,inadryareawithadequateventilation,
between15–25degreesCelsius(59-77degreesFahrenheit).Ifexposedto
heatorflames,containersmightburstorignite.
•Signsofprematurepolymerizationinmaterialcontainersincludebulging,
leaking,theemissionofheat,andunusualodor.Exposuretoheatcan
causeresintogelinthecontainers.
•Makesurethatmaterialcontainersarestoredinaccordancewithalllocal
regulationsandotherapplicablerequirements.
Shelf Life
Materialsusedforproducingmodelshavealimitedshelflife.Theexpirydate
onthelabelisvalidwhenproperlystoredinanundamaged,unopened
container.Alwaysrotateyourstock,sothatthecontainerwiththeearliest
dateisusedfirst.
Exposure to
Light
Ifprintingmaterialsarenotintheirsealedcontainers,makesuretoshield
themfromsunlightandothersourcesofUVradiation,suchasfluorescent
andmercury-vaporlights.ExposuretoUVradiationcausesanincreasein
viscosityand,eventually,solidification.
