Instrument Panel
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-40.
If servicing individual components, it is not necessary to
completely remove the instrument panel. In most cases,
the instrument panel can be moved aside for access to
components.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.

If moving the instrument panel aside, use caution to
prevent stretching or kinking the wires.
3. Remove eight screws (1) and flat washers (2).
4. Lift the instrument panel (3) up to clear the edge of
the armrest (4).
5. Disconnect the armrest harness (5) from instrument
panel components.
6. Lift and move the instrument panel aside or service
components as needed.
Installation Notes
• Install the instrument panel by reversing the order of
removal.
Rocker Switches
This procedure applies to the following rocker switches:
• Mow Switch (1)
• Parking Brake Switch (2)
• Optional Light Switch (3)
Removal and Installation

1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.
3. Remove the instrument panel (4). (See “Instrument
Panel” on page 4-64.)

4. Disconnect the wire connector (5).
