Seat Switch
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-49.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.

Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
3. Remove the seat (1) from the mower.
4. Label and disconnect wires from seat switch.
5. Remove seat switch (2) from the bottom of the seat.
Installation Notes
Install the seat switch by reversing the order of removal.
Neutral Proximity Switch
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-50.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Open the hood
3. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.

Label all wires before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
4. Disconnect harness connector (1).
5. Remove screws (2), flat washers (3), nuts (4) and
neutral proximity switch (5).
Installation Note
Install the neutral proximity switch by reversing the order
of removal.
