Parking Brake Solenoid Coil
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-61.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.
3. Locate the parking brake valve (1) under the operator
platform.

Label connectors before disconnecting to ensure correct
installation.
4. Disconnect parking brake solenoid coil connector (4).
5. Remove nut (3), and remove the solenoid (2) from
the valve (1).
Installation Notes
• Clean solenoid of any debris or surface rust and
apply dielectric grease (Jacobsen PN 365422) to
solenoid coil before installation.
• Install the solenoid by reversing the order of removal.
• Tighten nut (3) to 2.5 lb-ft (3.4 N·m).
MCU
Removal and Installation
See Figure 4-62.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove the floor access panel from the operator
platform. (See “Operator Platform” on page 9-10.)
3. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.

NOTE
Label all connectors before disconnecting to ensure
correct installation.
4. Disconnect six connectors (1) from the MCU (3).
5. Remove four screws (2).
6. Remove MCU (3).
Installation Note
Install the MCU by reversing the order of removal.
