3WD Option Rear Yoke
Removal and Installation
See Figure 7-32.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Remove the steering cylinder. (See “3WD Option
Steering Cylinder” on page 7-18.)
3. Lift the rear of the mower so the rear wheel is
approximately 6 in. (150 mm) off the ground.Support
the mower frame using jack stands.
4. Remove the rear wheel (2). (See “Rear Wheels” on
page 9-11.)
5. Remove the rear wheel motor (3). (See “Rear Wheel
Motor” on page 5-60.)
6. Support the rear yoke (4).
7. Remove screw (5), anti-vibration washer (6) and
bearing washer (7).
8. Lower the rear yoke (4) out of the mower frame.
9. Remove the upper (8) and lower (9) bearings.
10. Remove the nilos ring (10) and collar (11).
Installation Notes
• Install the rear axle assembly by reversing the order
of removal.
• Install side of bearings with numbers or letters toward
inside of bearing tube.
• Fill recessed area of nilos ring with grease that meets
or exceeds NLGI Grade 2 LB specifications.
• Check hydraulic oil level. Add oil as needed.
• Start the machine and check for hydraulic leaks and
cylinder operation. Repair as necessary.
