Seat Assembly
Removal and Installation
See Figure 9-9.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Disconnect the negative (–) battery cable at the
battery.
3. Remove armrest. (See “Armrest” on page 9-8.)

4. Tag and disconnect wires for seat switch (1).
5. Support the seat assembly.
6. Remove two screws (21), two screws (22), four flat
washers (23) and two nuts (24). Remove fuel tank
bracket (25).
7. Using a suitable lifting device, remove seat assembly
from the machine.
8. Remove four screws (2)and washers (3). Lift the seat
(28) off the seat support (15).
9. Remove four screws (7), lock washers (6), flat
washers (5) and two seat mounts (4) from seat (28).
10. Remove screws (8), lock washer (9), flat washers
(10) and seat belt halves (11 and 12) from both sides
of the seat (28)
11. Remove four screws (13), spacers (14) and seat
support (15).
12. Remove four square head screws (16), two travel
stops (17), latching rail (18) and sliding rail (19) from
seat brackets (27).
Installation Notes
• Install the seat by reversing the order of removal.
• Inspect fuel tank foam (26) on bottom of fuel tank
bracket (25) for damage. Replace if necessary.
• Carefully route and secure seat switch wires to avoid
damage from pinched wires.
