Mode is applied according to the following setting at the time of

Measurement mode set by “MODE button” is applied at the time
of starting measurement.
Change to M by lever
OFF
Even if using control lever,
auto mode function is available under control lever operation.
ON
If touching control lever,
change to the manual mode automatically.
Semi-auto
By operating the control lever before tapping near the pupil in
auto mode (starting measurement in auto mode), it is possible to
add the auto mode operation of the instrument to the manual
operation by the operator.
Chinrest height
