3.10 BASIC Expansion Mode
It is possible to execute the BASIC expansion mode program in BASIC expansion mode under the following
conditions:
• The BASIC expansion mode program has already been loaded.
• The BASIC enable setting mode is selected.
The basic expansion mode ends when the basic expansion program is exited.
• How to Perform BASIC Expansion
NOTES:
1. The BASIC expansion mode ends when the BASIC expansion program is exited.
2. When the [POWER] key is pressed without the BASIC expansion mode program loaded, the display
does not change from the BASIC expansion mode menu, “<6>EXPAND MODE”.
3. For details of the BASIC expansion mode, refer to the section, “Startup of System Mode Program” in
“the BASIC Interpreter Specification”.
ON LINE
“PAUSE” is displayed.
PAUSE
[PAUSE]
Press the [PAUSE] key.
[PAUSE]
Press and hold the [PAUSE] key for at least 3 seconds.
<1>RESET
“RESET” is displayed.
The printer is turned on, standing by, or printing.
<6>EXPAND MODE
[POWER]
“<6>EXPAND MODE” is displayed.
Press the [POWER] key.
After the BASIC expansion mode is started, LCD display and operations depend on the
BASIC expansion mode program.
BASIC program is
executed.
When “<1>PARAMETER SET” appears, press the [PAUSE] or [FEED] keys until the
following display appears.
