18) If installed, connect the USB cable (6).
Note: Use your notes to identify the correct connections in step 18) to step 20).
19) Connect the cables to the service connection (2, Fig. 2).
20) Connect the cables to the Ethernet connection (3).
21) Connect the plugs X21 (7) and X22 (5) to the connections on the LDU−20.
22) Attach four new cable ties (4) to the positions shown.
23) Attach a new label to identify the LDU20.
24) Close the cover of control box E25 (2, Fig. 1).
Note: You must first start the replaced LDU-20 before you start the engine
control system. Approximately five minutes are necessary to do the full
start procedure of the LDU-20.
25) Set to on the LDU-20.
26) Do a check to make sure that the LDU−20 operates correctly. If you get an error
message, speak to or send a message to Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd.
27) Do step 16) to 23) to install the spare LDU-20 to the position in the ECR.
Note: You must first start the engine control system before you start the spare
LDU-20 in the ECR. The spare LDU-20 in the ECR will be synchronized
with the master LDU-20 in the local control panel through the Ethernet
cable.
28) Set to on the engine control system.
29) Set to on the LDU-20.
30) Do a check to make sure that the LDU-20 operates correctly. If you get an error
message, speak to or send a message to Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd.
31) Start the engine from the remote control system.
2. Engine Room and Rail Unit
2.1 Replace Defective LDU-20
Note: To replace a defective LDU-20 in the ECR, you must use only the spare
item. Do not use the LDU−20 from the local control panel.
1) Stop the engine.
2) Get access to the rear of the LDU-20.
3) In paragraph 1.1, do step 4) to step 13) to remove the defective LDU-20 from
the ECR.
4) In paragraph 1.1, do step 27) to 31) to install the spare LDU-20 to the position in
the ECR.
