2. Fasten the cables with cable ties.
6.8.6.3 Connecting the cables
Conductors
• If a twisted pair cable is used, leave the unshielded cable ends
twisted until they reach the terminals.
• Leave unshielded conductor ends as short as possible (not longer
than 50 mm).
Cable shields
• Connect the shield of serial communications cables to the
fieldbus adapter.
• Connect the individual shields and the overall shield (if present) of
encoder cables to the separate shield grounding point.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT connect the shields to the terminals of
the interface.
• Different-sized ground clamps are supplied.
