10 PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
10.4.15 Testing and replacing auxiliary fan units
Inspection intervals: see the "ACS6000 preventive maintenance
schedule" (3BHS855273 E01).
Service during operation: possible
Location: installed behind the doors of the following cabinets:
- COU cabinet (2 fan units)
- WCU cabinet (2 fan units in WCU and 2 fan units in the
optional REB)
- Water-cooled EXU cabinet
10.4.15.1 Testing auxiliary fan units
To switch the fan units on and off for the test, use the thermostats of the
fan units.
Procedure
1. Switch on the auxiliary voltage for the fan unit to be tested.
2. Take note the setting of the thermostat.
The factory-set value is also stated on the Settings label. The label is
attached to the inside of the cabinet door.
3. To switch on a fan unit, turn the dial of the thermostat from the
factory-set value to a low value.
4. Check that the fans run smoothly and if a fan is faulty, replace the
complete fan unit.
5. Set the thermostat to the factory-set value.
