Removing the coin-cell battery cover
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the left cover.
About this task
NOTE: The coin-cell battery cover is designed to prevent children from accessing the coin-cell battery. The coin-cell battery
cover does not affect the computer's functionality.
The following images indicate the location of the coin-cell battery cover and provide a visual representation of the removal
procedure.

Steps
1. Lay the computer on the right side.
2. Using your fingertips, press the edges of the coin-cell battery cover on both the sides.
3. Release the coin-cell battery cover from the coin-cell battery slot on the system board.
4. Lift the coin-cell battery cover away from the coin-cell battery slot.

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
