12.3.1 Cleaning the distributor head (workshop)
1. Fold out the machine's extension arm.
2. Apply the tractor parking brake, switch off the tractor engine
and remove the ignition key.
WARNING
Apply the tractor parking brake, switch off the tractor engine and
remove the ignition key.
Before climbing on it, clean the path to the distributor head and
the area of the distributor head (danger of slipping).
There is the risk of an accident on the path to the distributor
head and in the area of the distributor head.
3. Slacken the winged nuts (Fig. 196/1) and
remove the clean plastic flap (Fig. 196/2)
from the distributor head.
4. Remove any impurities with a brush, and
wipe out the distributor head and plastic cap
with a dry cloth.
5. Clean impurities between the base plate
(Fig. 196/A) with compressed air.
6. Install the plastic cap (Fig. 196/2).
7. Fix the plastic cap with winged nuts (Fig.
196/1).

Intensive cleaning requires the slides to be removed.
12.3.2 Shutdown of the machine over a long period of time
1. Do not raise the coulters, but set them
down on a firm base.
2. Thoroughly clean and dry the coulter.
3. To prevent rust, conserve the sowing discs
(Fig. 197) with an environmentally friendly
anti-corrosion agent.
