5.9 Blower fan
DANGER
Do not exceed the maximum fan speed of 4000 rpm.
Clean the dirty blower fan intake guard screen so that the air can flow
through unhindered.
If the required quantity of air is not reached, this may cause faults in
the seed distribution.
Clean the blower fan if deposits have formed. Deposits lead to an
imbalance and to damage to bearings.
Check the seed placement when you commence work and then at
regular intervals and, at the latest, when refilling the seed hopper on
all coulters.
Contaminated seed conveyor routes may cause incorrect sowing.
The blower fan (Fig. 70/1) that creates the air
current is driven by a hydraulic motor (Fig. 70/2).
The air current conveys the seeds from the injec-
tor sluice to the coulters.
The blower fan speed determines the air volume
of the air current. The faster the blower fan
speed, the greater the air volume that is gener-
ated.
AMATRON 3 displays the current blower fan
speed and sets off an alarm if there is a devia-
tion.

The hydraulic motor (Fig. 70/2) can be driven by
• the tractor hydraulics
• a hydraulic pump that is attached to the tractor's universal joint
shaft.
