FXS Functionality
FXS Capabilities
 4 FXS interfaces per FXS module.
 (Optional) Analog Lifeline per FXS module (on FXS Port 1), maintaining
PSTN connectivity upon power failure. For the combined FXS/FXO
configuration, one Lifeline is available; for the 12-FXS configuration, up
to three Lifelines are available.
 Short or long haul, up to 3,000 m (10,000 ft.), using a 24-AWG line cord
 Caller ID generation: Bellcore GR-30-CORE Type 1 using Bell 202 FSK
modulation, ETSI Type 1
 Polarity Reversal and Wink signals generation
 Message waiting indication - DC voltage generation (TIA/EIA-464-B)
with 50% duty cycle, V23 FSK data, stutter dial tone and DTMF based
 Configurable ringing signal: up to four cadences and frequency 10 to
