There is a Black Calibration fixture for the Probe and a smaller White Fixture for the Well. The
Probe Fixture is included with the Uptake Stand. The Well Fixture is included with the optional
Well Counter. They are used for performing High Voltage, Calibration, Constancy and Chi-
Square.
The Black Probe Calibration/Constancy Fixture is used by sliding the Cs-137 10µCi disc source
into the slot in the bottom of the fixture. The Holder is then placed into the Probe. This gives
you repeatable Geometry for each time the function is performed. If you turn the Probe facing
upwards, the fixture will always be in the same location. Make sure the source is always placed
in the fixture with the source name and activity facing the same direction in the fixture.
The White Well Fixture fits into the top of the Well Counter. The 10µCi Cs-137 disc source fits
into the wide top section of the fixture. If you are using a rod source for your well counter, the
well fixture helps center the rod source.
There are pins on the printer shelf that hold the fixtures onto the shelf for storage.
