CALREC Putting Sound in the Picture 139
Back up drive
The PC is fitted with a card reader and
one of the card positions has a memory
card fitted. The purpose of this memory
card is to automatically backup the user
files. These backups will allow for the PC
to be more easily recovered, in the event
of a hard disk failure. The pull down box
below allows the users to define which
drive of the card reader the memory card
is fitted into.
PC Network connection
It is possible to connect the mixer’s PC
to the user’s computer LAN (Local Area
Network). It is also possible for the Calrec
main application distribute AWACS
(Advanced Warning And Correction
System) messages across the network.
These messages could then be seen on a
networked PC in the user’s maintenance
department, for example. The options
below allow this feature to be enabled.
