6.4.2 Heat Exchanger
The heat exchanging equipment can be located outside the electrical room in which the AC drives are. The connections between these
two are made on site. To minimize the pressure drops, the piping must be made as short and straight as possible. It is also recommended
to install a regulating valve that is equipped with a flow rate measurement point. This makes it possible to measure and regulate the
coolant circulation in the commissioning phase.
The highest point of the piping must be equipped with either an automatic or a manual venting device. The material of the piping must
comply with at least AISI 304 (and AISI 316 is recommended). Before connecting the pipes, clean the bores thoroughly. If cleaning with
water is not possible, use pressured air to remove all loose particles and dust.
