Setting alarm limits automatically
The function Alarms: Autoset sets the alarm limits
on the basis of the actual measured values at the
time of activation. This automatic setting of alarm
limits is performed only once, when confirmed with
the rotary knob.
1 Press the Alarms key (B).
2 Select and activate the line Alarms: Autoset
on the display.
3 Press the rotary knob to confirm Alarms:
Autoset, or press the Alarm Reset key to leave
the settings unchanged.
The auto alarm limits are based on the actual
measured values as follows:
The etCO2 / auto alarm limits are based
on the actual etCO2 value as follows:
WARNING
Risk of hypoventilation
After using the function Alarms: Autoset,
check if the new alarm limits are appropriate
for the patient.
Alarm Setting
MVe Measured value –20 %, with a
minimum of 0.5 L/min. Below
0.5 L/min the limit remains
unchanged.
MVe Measured value +30 % or
+2 L/min, whichever is smaller.
RRsp Measured value +5/min with a
minimum of 10/min.
