MightyMo/MiniMo User’s Guide 8-21
Part # 400030-C
Creating Custom Recordings Chapter 8: Sound Management
You can use the Play Sound... menu to import a recording from a
removable USB storage device or a secondary storage card and
assign it to a button on your device.
To import a sound and assign it to a button, follow these steps:
1. Select the green Modify button in the title bar. The button will turn
red when it is selected.
2. Select the button that you want to modify. The Modify Button menu
will appear.
3. Select the Record Message button. The Play Sound... menu will
appear.
4. Select the Import button. The User Files menu will open. The
contents of the Sounds directory on the USB storage device or
secondary storage card will be displayed in the right viewport.
2 Note: The secondary storage card or USB storage device must be
connected to your MightyMo/MiniMo before you can begin the
import process. Refer to Install a Secondary Storage Card on
page 2-18 for step-by-step instructions on installing a secondary
storage card, or refer to the illustration on page 2-5 for the port
locations for connecting a USB storage device.
2 Note: If you plan to use a commercial USB storage device that has never
been used with your MightyMo/MiniMo device, save a copy of any
data on the USB storage device in a secure place and follow the
steps in Format a USB Storage Device on page 2-19. After that is
complete, copy the information back onto the USB storage device
and continue with this task. This does not apply to the USB storage
device that was shipped with your MightyMo/MiniMo device.
2 Note: If the Modify button is not visible on the left side of the title bar,
refer to Define the Title Bar Contents on page 5-24 for step-by-
step instructions on displaying it.
2 Note: The Sounds folder was automatically created on your USB storage
device if the sound(s) were exported from a MightyMo/MiniMo
device. Refer to Export Sounds to a USB Storage Device on
page 8-27 or Export Sounds to a Secondary Storage Card on
page 8-29.
