5 General Machine Condition
5.1 Wash Machine Externally
Disconnect fire-fighting equipment if steam washing or high-pressure washing.

Rinse the machine with water at least once a day to remove drill cuttings, mud, and
dirt.
The feed, front part of the boom, and track frames are particularly important to keep clean.
5.2 Check Condition of Signs
• Make sure that all signs are in place.
• Make sure that all signs are intact, clean, and fully readable.
• Always replace defect or missing signs.
