4.2.2 Destinations and Sources
There are up to 24 MADI destination/ source ports on the console, each carrying up to
64 channels (44.1/48 kHz) or 32 channels (96 kHz).
4.2.3 Cabling
This category handles MADI cable connections for the ML530s.
Mic/Line Interface Patching
For mic inputs and analog inputs not at +4 dB, the Euphonix ML530 and Modular
The ML530 analog outputs are connected to an AM713 Analog-to-MADI converter
which then connects to one of the MADI inputs.
I/O provide preamps with gain, phantom power, high-pass filter, and hiZ/loZ swit-
ching (ML530 only). The Modular I/O can provide up to 56 preamp channels per
MADI port, while the ML530 provides 24 channels.
For each rack of Modular I/O remote preamps, PatchNet needs to know which MADI
input the rack is connected to so its mic preamp parameters appear on the correspon-
ding channel knobset.
