Congure the external device such that it starts
when the supply voltage is switched on. It is impor-
tant that the external device starts when the supply
voltage is switched on.
6.13.6.2 Passive dehumidication option
Devices with the passive dehumidication option are equipped with a
ventilation opening, which can be opened and closed via the control
contact.
NOTICE
Dehumidication is only possible if the moistur
e con-
tent of the air outside of the incubator is lower than
that inside the incubator.
The ambient temperature should be at least 5 °C
lower than the temperature to which the incubator is
to be heated.
If the control contact is activated here, the function is available in
manual and pr
ogram mode. This means:
■ In manual mode, an additional symbol appears on the main
scr
een, via which the control contact can be switched on or off at
any time
Further information on page 54
.
■ In program mode, there is an additional function available,
‘Con-
trol contact On/Off’
, for creating programs in the editing view of
the program segments
‘Editing a program segment’
on page 71
.
■ The control contact can be used in the start settings for an
existing pr
ogram
‘Control contact (option)’ on page 88
.
If the control contact is activated in manual or program mode, the
ventilation opening is opened. If the control contact is deactivated in
manual or program mode, the ventilation opening is closed. An effec-
tive method of using the passive dehumidication option is to open
the ventilation opening during the heating-up phase. It is recom-
mended to plan at least 5 h Es for a heating-up phase from 4 °C to
37 °C.
