Parameters Meaning
Certificate
Certificate
Authority
Displays the name of the certificate authority (CA) which issued the
certificate.
The device uses this certificate for signature verification of the local and
remote certificates. You upload the file using the "Back" button.
The prerequisite for activating the "Back" button is that you select
Individual Certificates (X.509)
from the "Method" drop-down list.
Possible values:
Alphanumeric ASCII character string with 1..128 characters.
Local Certificate Displays the name of the local peer identified in the certificate.
The device uses this certificate for authentication of the local peer on the
remote side.The certificate binds the identity of the local peer to its public
key, which the CA signed. You upload the file using the "Back" button.
The prerequisite for activating the "Back" button is that you select
Individual Certificates (X.509)
or
Certificate Bundle (PKCS12)
from the "Method" drop-down list.
Possible values:
Alphanumeric ASCII character string with 1..128 characters.
Encrypted Private
Key
Specifies the private key file name.
This value is only the file name of the private key. The key requires that you
enter the passphrase in the "Passphrase (PrivKey)" field.
The prerequisite for using this parameter is that you set the "Method" drop-
down list value to
individualx509
and you encrypt the key saved on the
device with a passphrase. When you encrypt the key saved on the device,
the key and the certificate remain unmatched. You upload the file using the
"Back" button.
The prerequisite for activating the "Back" button is that you select
Individual Certificates (X.509)
from the "Method" drop-down list.
Possible values:
Alphanumeric ASCII character string with 0..128 characters.
Passphrase
(PrivKey)
Specifies the passphrase that the device uses for decryption of the private
key from "Encrypted Private Key".
The prerequisite for activating the field is that you select
Individual
Certificates (X.509)
or
Certificate Bundle (PKCS12)
from the
"Method" drop-down list and that you mark the "Change" checkbox.
Possible values:
Alphanumeric ASCII character string with 0..128 characters.
