8.4 Secondary Interface
addresses
This dialog allows you to assign further IP addresses to the router interfaces.
You use this function to connect a router interface to several subnets.
Note: The device allows you to specify up to 2 IP addresses (1 primary,
1 furthers) for a router interface and a total of up to 64 IP addresses.

Buttons
Parameters Meaning
Port Displays the number of the port or VLAN belonging to the router interface.
IP Address Displays the primary IP address of the router interface, see the
Routing >
Interfaces
> Configuration
dialog.
Netmask Displays the primary netmask of the router interface, see the
Routing >
Interfaces
> Configuration
dialog.
Secondary IP
Address /Netmask
Displays further IP addresses and netmasks assigned to the router
interface.
Button Meaning
Reload Updates the fields with the values that are saved in the volatile memory
(
RAM
) of the device.
Add IP Address Opens the "Create" dialog to add another IP address to the router
interface highlighted in the table.
In the "IP Address" field, you specify the IP address.
Possible values:
– Valid IPv4 address
In the "Netmask" field, you specify the netmask.
Possible values:
– Valid IPv4 netmask
