8.28 NAT
NAT (Network Address Translation) comprises several procedures which
automatically change the IP address information in the data packet. When
configured on the device, NAT enables communication links between
devices in different networks.
The device provides a multi-step approach for setting up and applying the
NAT rules:
Create rule.
Assign rule to a router interface.
Up to this step, changes have no effect on the behavior of the device and
the data stream.
Apply the rule to the data stream; to do this, click in the
Routing > NAT >
NAT Global dialog the "Commit Changes" button.
The menu contains the following dialogs:
NAT Global
1:1 NAT
Destination NAT
Masquerading NAT
Double NAT
