Use the same pro cedure to install from the installation media that contain the C Language
Library (option 032, 033, or 034).
Note
When you install the HP 4062UX/F system software into a cluster
environment, the HP-UX up date pro cedure automatically checks to see if the
system is clustered. If the update pro cedure nds the system is on an HP-UX
cluster, up date creates the necessary Context Dep endent Files (CDFs) and
directories for all cno des.
4. Change the msgtql parameter value in the dle by using SAM(1M) utility.
If your controller is a series 300 computer, skip this step.
If your system is congured in a diskless cluster environment, you must perform this step
for each diskless cnode and server.
The only kernel parameter for which the default value is not sucientis msgtql . The
recommended value for msgtql is 256. For details of eachkernel parameter value and
parameter setup procedure, see Instal ling and Maintaining HP BASIC/UX .
Tochange the msgtql parameter value, use the following pro cedures:
1. Login as a superuser and execute the command: sam.

4. Select and highlight msgtql parameter column.

6. Change the default value(40) to recommended value(256) in the b ox provided. Your
change is conrmed in the Pending Value column after you select

conguration.
