D.7.1 Wake up Remote Host
If an external PC is used with the scanner, it is helpful to start the PC at the same time
when the scanner starts.
This can be done by activating the Wake up Remote Host function.

The requirements for using this function:
• In the BIOS of the external PC the function “Wake on LAN” must be activated.
It may be necessary to update the BIOS of older PCs for this function to be available.
• The main power of the external PC must be active, but the PC can be in “Power save”
mode.
