2. Remove the flue irrigation tube from the handpiece clip.
3. Remove the flue and set it aside.
4. Disconnect the manifold
suction tubing and its
clip from the handpiece
and nosecone.
Remove the Nosecone, O-rings, and Tip
1. Remove the standard or CEM nosecone:
a. Release the nosecone
by twisting it
counterclockwise.
b. Pull the nosecone
away from the
handpiece and set it
aside.
DO NOT DISCARD A
STANDARD
NOSECONE.
2. Remove the o-rings only if using a CEM nosecone.
3. Locate the sterile torque base in which the handpiece support color
matches the color on the handpiece connector (23 kHz – green;
36 kHz – blue).
4. Put the handpiece in the
torque base so that the
metal connecting body
fits snugly in the metal
slot at the end of the
support.
