Disassembly to Change Tips on the Sterile Field

5. Match the colored ring of
the sterile torque wrench
with the handpiece
connector color or
handpiece support color
on the torque base. Slide
the color coded side of
the wrench over the tip
until the hex in the
wrench engages the hex
of the tip.
6. Hold the handpiece securely in place in the torque base.
7. Rotate the wrench
counterclockwise until
the tip is loose.
8. Carefully remove the sterile wrench from the tip.
9. Remove the handpiece from the tip torquing base.
10. Unscrew the used tip. Set
the tip and flue aside for
further use or disposal at
the end of the surgical
procedure. If using a
CEM nosecone, set aside
the o-rings.
Notice
To avoid product damage, NEVER hold the handpiece in your hand while using
the torque wrench to tighten or loosen the tip.
