6. Troubleshooting
Bypassing Error Condition
If the instrument displays a red flag error condition, reboot the instrument
and login as IRIS as login name and iris2k1 as password. Check the
error log for details of error condition.
Decoding the Valves field in Valve Error Reports
The Valves field in an iQ200 valve error report is a hexadecimal number
indicating the valves that failed. Since it is possible for more than one
valve to fail, the hexadecimal scheme was chosen to represent the failed
valve(s).
The following table delineates the information necessary to translate or
decode the Valves field to ascertain the valve or valves that have failed.
Valve I2C Address J Error Bit Typical Hex
EBV 0x9E bit 1 J12 0 0x01
PBV 0x9E bit 0 J11 2 0x04
DRV 0x9C bit 1 J9 3 0x08
LBV 0x9C bit 0 J8 4 0x10
CBV 0x9A bit 1 J6 5 0x20
AMV 0x9C bit 2 J10 6 0x40
ACV 0x9A bit 2 J7 7 0x80
Note: Valve hex values will add if multiple valves fail simultaneously.
EXAMPLE: valve fail=0x44 Valves AMV and PBV both have failed.
