What is a Collimation?
Collimation is the adjustment of the alignment of each optical element
with regard to the others. The collimation is a way of improving
considerably the optical performance. No high-resolution result can be
obtained without an near perfect collimation, since image processing is
incapable of compensating for the damages caused by a misalignment.
