4. Adjustments
Validation
1. To ensure the barcode reader is reading and the system is working,
load an iQ200 control rack with properly labeled tubes to perform
Prime (first three tubes), Focus (5
th
tube) and Positive / Negative QC
(6
th
and 7
th
tube). Check the results to be sure that the system is
working properly.
2. Load a rack with tubes labeled with the customers labels filled with
any material (focus, positive control, diluent, tap water etc.) Run the
rack on the iQ200 system and check the results in the Work list to be
sure that all labels read properly. If connected to an AX-4280, run the
sample rack on both analyzers, and make sure that chemistry and
microscopy results are attached.
3. If the system performs properly, the procedure is complete
4. If the barcodes do not read properly, recheck the alignment (it will be
necessary to reinstall the “y” cable and hook up the laptop again to do
so).
