5. Dress the power cord appropriately. Verify that the power cord does not block the air
exhaust or access to device components, and that it does not drape where people
could trip on it
6. Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for the remaining power supplies.

Connecting the Junos Pulse Gateway to a Management Console
The Junos Pulse Gateway devices have a console port with an RJ-45 connector. Use the
console port to connect the device to a management console or to a console server.
Connect each service module to a management console before powering up the Junos
Pulse Gateway.
To connect a Junos Pulse Gateway to a management console (see Figure 42 on page 77
and Figure 42 on page 77):
1. Connect one end of the cable to the console port labeled CONSOLE on the Junos
Pulse Gateway.
2. Connect the other end of the cable into the console server ((see Figure 42 on page 77)
or management console (see Figure 42 on page 77.)

When you connect a management console before powering up the Junos Pulse Gateway,
you should see a message similar to this:
Please select a factory-reset personality:
[1] Junos Pulse Secure Access Service 7.1 R1
[2] Junos Pulse Access Control Service 4.1 R1
