9.4 Battery replacement
1. Switch off power to the KCM.
2. Wait for three minutes prior to opening KCM cover.
3. Open KCM.
4. Replace battery BT1.
5. Re-install cover.
6. Return KCM to service.
▲ The front cover is Part of the ignition protection and it must not be
opened unless power has been removed and no explosive
atmosphere is present.
▲ Danger of an explosion exists if battery is incorrectly replaced.
▲ Order Batteries directly from K-Tron 9104-40001
or:
• Is it recommend to replace batteries every five years or when an
alarm on the KCM states ‘Battery Low’.
• Replace battery only with the same or recommended equivalent
type.
• Dispose of used battery according as required by law.
