How to Use Auxiliary Functions
Automatic Realignment
Automatic Realignment realigns the laser cavity after the Laser Safety
error has occurred. You should use Automatic Realignment if you have
already tried to reactivate the laser and to reduce power, and this has
been unsuccessful.
To realign the laser cavity:
1 Move to the Tunable Laser channel and press Menu.
2Move to <Realign> and press [OK]. You will see the screen in Figure 95
on page -168.
3 Wait approximately 30 minutes. This time depends on how much the
alignment of the instrument has drifted since the last Automatic
Realignment was performed.
To get the specified performance, ensure that the warm-up time has
passed before starting realignment.
