Front Panel Reference
Config Key Group
Auto Dis. Automatic discharge function setup, ON or
OFF.
The softkey displays the present ON/OFF
status of this function. Pressing this key
switches the status.
Dis. Level Minimum discharge level, 2 nC, 20 nC,
200 nC, or 2 C.
The softkey displays the present discharge
level. Pressing this key switches the level.
Ohms (B2985B/B2987B) Displays the following softkeys for setting
the resistance measurement operation.
V Select Resistance calculation mode setup. Source
or Measure.
If Source is selected, the resistance is
calculated by R = Vs/Im. Where, Vs is the
voltage source output value, and Im is the
current measurement value.
If Measure is selected, the resistance is
calculated by R = Vm/Im. Where, Vm is the
voltage measurement value, and Im is the
current measurement value.
The softkey displays the present
Source/Measure status of this function.
Pressing this key switches the status.
V Control V Control mode setup. Manual or Auto. For
details, see “V Control Mode” on page 109.
If Manual is set, the resistance measurement
is performed with the condition given by the
Measure Amps, Spot Source Range, and
Voltage Source field settings.
If Auto is set, the resistance measurement is
performed with the condition automatically
derived from the Measure Ohms field
setting.
