Display and Assist/Function Keys
Keysight B2980 provides several display modes. The display mode is changed by
pressing the View key.
For each display mode, six function keys are available below the display, and five
assist keys are available on the right side of the display. They are assigned to
several softkeys. The softkey assignment depends on the display mode.

sections.

• “Histogram View”
• “Roll View”
• “Status Information”
The status information is common for all display modes. It is displayed above
the bottom softkeys associated with the function keys. This display area is also
used to display system messages and error messages.
• “Helper Panel”
The Helper Panel assists to enter alphanumeric characters. This panel appears
automatically when the field pointer is in the EDIT (green) status on the field
that is required to enter characters.
