Setting the Power Line Frequency
When the instrument is shipped from the factory, the power-on automatic
detection of power line frequency is enabled. The boot up screen will show Power
Line Frequency: AUTO. If the setting is not changed, you do not need to set the
power line frequency.
However, you may want to specify the power line frequency by yourself. Then
disable the power-on automatic detection, and press the following function keys.
• To specify 50 Hz: System Menu > System > PLC > 50 Hz
• To specify 60 Hz: System Menu > System > PLC > 60 Hz
• To detect and set the frequency: System Menu > System > PLC > Auto Detect
To disable or enable the power-on automatic detection, set OFF or ON to the
Power-on PLC Detect field on the System Start-up dialog box opened by pressing
System Menu > System > Start-up function keys.
Setting Date and Time
You can set the date and time on the Date and Time dialog box opened by
pressing System Menu > System > Info. > Date/Time function keys.
Bench Installation
For easier display viewing and front panel access, you can tilt up the front of the
instrument by turning the handle. To adjust the handle, grab the handle by the
sides and pull outward. Then, rotate the handle to the desired position.
