Installation
Installing Keysight B2980
When the B2983B/B2987B works with the internal Li-ion battery, if ambient
temperature exceeds 45 C, the instrument will cause emergency shutdown
without saving setup information. To avoid this, make a space about 10 cm around
the instrument and do not cover the instrument top and side.
Rack Installation
Use the Keysight 34190A Rack Mount kit to rack mount Keysight B2980.
When the B2983B/B2987B works with the internal Li-ion battery, if ambient
temperature exceeds 45 C, the instrument will cause emergency shutdown
without saving setup information. To avoid this, make a space about 2U (approx.
10 cm) above the instrument.
Keysight B2980 can be mounted in a 19-inch EIA rack cabinet. It is designed to fit
in two rack-units (2U) of space.
Remove the front and rear rubber bumpers and the handle before rack mounting
the B2980.
Removing the Bumper
Stretch a corner of the rubber bumper and slide it off.
Removing the Handle
1. Grab the handle by the sides and pull outward. This will allow you to rotate the
handle.
2. Rotate the handle to a vertical position. Then, position the instrument
horizontally.
